On August 5th, Governor & First Lady Deal announced the "Tons of Fun
Fitness Challenge," in response to our growing obesity epidemic. The
new program combines the great outdoors with healthy living and features
a website:
www.TonsofFun.org
..where Georgians can create an online profile to plan activities,
track calories burned and document weight lost. The state's goal is for
citizens to lose one million pounds. There are even tips on how to get
the family dog involved, and trainers and nutritionists are available
to answer questions online. Joining is free!
