Mission Statement:
During the summer of 2007, Savannah Mayor Otis Johnson launched the Healthy Savannah 2012 Initiative, with the aim of making Savannah a healthier place to live by the year 2012. How? By increasing the opportunities for citizens to engage in physical activity and consume a nutritious, balanced diet.
The Healthy Savannah Leadership Team will develop a five-year strategic plan for Healthy Savannah. Healthy Savannah has partnered with several business and institutions to insure that the voice of Savannah is represented. Click here to see the working organizational structure of Healthy Savannah.
Healthy Savannah offers programs to families, schools, businesses, and faith-based organizations.
