Healthy eating doesn't have to mean dieting and giving up the foods we enjoy. Rather, it is about eating smart and creating healthy eating habits.

It's important to develop some basics rules for healthy eating. Begin eating a healthy diet by choosing:

• A variety of fruits and vegetables
• To avoid fats, added sugars and salt
• To eat in moderation

The amount and type of foods we eat play a major role in our overall health. There is good evidence that establishing healthy eating habits can reduce our risk of illnesses such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis and cancer.

We hope you will use the links on this right side of this page to serve as resources for healthy eating!
